The analysis and legislative proposals shall be delivered to the Government by the 31 August 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The Market Surveillance Council has on several occasions requested a clearer and more uniform legal framework to facilitate effective market surveillance. In February 2014, all Directors-General of the authorities in the Market Surveillance Council, submitted a common request to the government to appoint an Inquiry Commission. According to the directives to the Commission, it shall<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>identify all national authorities with market surveillance responsibilities,<\/li>\n<li>identify to what extent and within which sectors municipal authorities perform market surveillance,<\/li>\n<li>analyse if the different legal frameworks that define market surveillance authorities and govern their responsibilities are clear and efficient,<\/li>\n<li>identify what powers and sanctions the Swedish market surveillance authorities have at their disposal<\/li>\n<li>investigate how market surveillance powers and sanctions are regulated in other comparable countries,<\/li>\n<li>analyse if existing powers and sanctions are appropriate to achieve an efficient and effective market surveillance,<\/li>\n<li>analyse which impact differences in powers and sanctions between relevant authorities has on Swedish market surveillance, and<\/li>\n<li>deliver appropriate legislative or other proposals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The analysis and legislative proposals shall be delivered to the Government by the 31 August 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Swedish Government has appointed an Inquiry Commission to analyse the effectiveness of the powers and sanctions that market surveillance&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":9,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[16],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1336","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-fasta-nyheter-en"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
