Cooperation with the regional chambers of commerce, information to importers and evaluation of the Swedish market surveillance are some of the around 30 activities planned for 2016.

According to Regulations (2014:1039) on market surveillance of goods, which complements EU Regulation 765/2008 on accreditation and market surveillance, the Market Surveillance Council shall annually draw up and implement a national market surveillance plan. This plan, adopted by the Council at its last meeting on November 27, comprises common activities that shall contribute to a more efficient market surveillance. It is complemented by sector specific plans that are drawn up by each market surveillance authority. All plans are published and distributed to the European Commission and other Member States in the EU.
