In 2014, 2 500 dangerous consumer products were either stopped before they were imported into the EU or removed from the market. These figures come from the annual Rapex report that the European Commission presented on Monday. Among the most frequently notified products in this European rapid alert system are toys, child care articles, textiles, electrical equipment and motor vehicles. The most common land of origin of the notified products is China.
