Decreasing knowledge of CE marking among consumers
Many consumers are not aware of the fact that CE marking exists. This is shown in a study recently carried out by HUI Research on behalf of Swedac, other public authorities of the Market Surveillance Council and the Swedish Trade Federation.
The study, that was published recently, is a follow-up of a corresponding survey made in 2004. In the study 765 consumers and 218 merchants were interviewed. The study shows that of all consumers 63 % now say they know some products should have CE marking, compared to 65 % in 2004.
