Eight revised product directives published

On the 29th March, the last eight directives in the so called “alignment package” were published in the Official Journal of the European Union. The directives have been adapted according to the new legislative framework and Decision 768/2008/EC on a common framework for the marketing of products but do not include any new changes in the general requirements on the products. The directives will apply from 20th April 2016.

The directives are subject to the following products and characteristics: electromagnetic compatibility, low-voltage, equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, non-automatic weighing instruments, measuring instruments, lifts, simple pressure vessels.
