A more coherent EU legislation, electronic market surveillance, abstracts of harmonized standards freely available, reduced administrative burdens on companies, harmonized approaches to economic sanctions and periodic evaluations subjected to a regulatory fitness check.

These are some of the conclusions that the European Commission presents in its Communication “A vision for the internal market for industrial products”. The conclusions are based on a public consultation in which government agencies, enterprises and consumers have given their views on the existing regulatory framework for industrial products.
